Grand Opening of CROP Innovation & Business Asia 2025 in Sanya
2025年1月5日,備受矚目的國際作物創新與商業化大會(亞洲)2025 (CROP Innovation &Business Asia 2025)在中國三亞崖州灣科技城隆重開幕。此次大會以“面向未來人類健康與農業可持續發展的下一代作物”為主題,本次大會匯聚了來自29個國家和地區的300余名農業和生物技術領域高管、頂尖科學家、金融專家以及初創公司代表,共同探討農業未來的發展方向和創新路徑。
The Crop IB Innovation & Business 2025 grandly opened at Sanya Yazhou Bay Science & Technology City on January 5, 2025. Focusing on the theme of "Next Generation Crops for Future Human Health and Agricultural Sustainability", the conference brings together more than 300 executives, top scientists, financial experts, and start-up representatives in agricultural and biotechnology fields. They are from 29 countries and regions to explore the future development direction and innovation path of agriculture.


本次活動源自歐洲農業創新與商業化合作領域享有盛譽的會議品牌CropIB,影響力覆蓋全球一百多個國家。該大會首次落地中國,離不開品牌方KeyGene、聯合主辦方三亞崖州灣創新科技國際咨詢研究院有限公司以及支持方三亞崖州灣科技城管理局的大力支持。
The event originates from the European conference brand CropIB, which is renowned in the field of agricultural innovation and commercialization, covering more than 100 countries worldwide. With great supports from the brand owner KeyGene, the co-organizer Sanya Yazhou Bay Innovation Technology International Consulting Research Institute Co., Ltd., and the supporter Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, Crop IB successfully held its inaugural conference in China.
開幕式上,CropIB會議品牌方代表Roeland van Ham首先發表了致辭。他強調了農業科技創新對于推動全球農業可持續發展的重要性,并對所有與會嘉賓的到來表示熱烈歡迎。
At the opening ceremony, Roeland van Ham, the representative of the CropIB brand owner, first delivered his speech, emphasizing the importance of agricultural technology innovation in promoting sustainable development of global agriculture, and presenting a warm welcome to all guests and attendees.

隨后,三亞崖州灣科技城管理局黨委副書 記、常務副局長林海發表致辭。他介紹了崖州灣科技城在農業科技創新以及產業發展方面付出的諸多努力與取得的階段性豐碩成果。林海表示,崖州灣科技城將以此次大會為契機,進一步加強與國際農業的交流與合作,推動崖州灣科技城農業產業的高質量發展。
Subsequently, Lin Hai, Executive Deputy Director of Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, presented his speech. He introduced the tremendous efforts and fruitful achievements made by Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City in agricultural technology innovation and industrial development. Lin Hai stated that Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City will take this conference as an opportunity to further strengthen the communication and cooperation with international agriculture, and promote the high-quality development of the agricultural industry in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City.

During the plenary lecture section, Wu Jingxuan, Deputy Director of the Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City Administration, delivered a keynote speech "Investment and Commercialization of Breeding Industry in Nanfan, Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City". She shared the experience and practices of Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City in promoting agricultural technology innovation and industrial development from the perspective of industrial investment and commercialization, and emphasized the importance of cooperation among social entities such as the government, enterprises, and research institutions.

南京農業大學園藝學院王振興教授發表了菊花育種與產業化進展的主題演講,介紹了菊花當前產業發展及創新性研究。同時,他還展望了未來農業科技的發展方向,強調了科技創新在推動農業可持續發展中的重要作用。
Professor Wang Zhenxing, Professor from the College of Horticulture, Nanjing Agricultural University, presented his keynote speech on the progress of chrysanthemum breeding and industrialization, introducing the current development and innovative research of the chrysanthemum industry. At the same time, he also looked forward to the future development direction of agricultural technology, emphasizing the importance of technological innovation in promoting agricultural sustainable development.

主題演講3:被忽視和未充分利用的非洲豆類是農業可持續性和人類營養健康的主要貢獻者
Keynote Speech 3: Neglected and Underutilized African Legumes are Major Contributors to Agricultural Sustainability and Human Nutrition/Health
中國工程院外籍院士、南非科學院院士、非洲科學院院士Felix Dapare Dakora發表了題為《被忽視和未充分利用的非洲豆類是農業可持續性和人類營養健康的主要貢獻者》的主題演講。他詳細介紹了非洲豆類作物在農業可持續發展和人類營養健康方面的重要作用。他指出,盡管這些豆類作物在非洲地區被廣泛種植和食用,但它們的潛力和價值卻往往被忽視。他呼吁全球農業界加強對非洲豆類作物的研究和利用,以推動非洲農業的可持續發展和提高當地居民的營養健康水平。
Felix Dapare Dakora, Foreign Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Fellow of the South African Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the African Academy of Sciences, delivered a keynote speech "Neglected and underutilized African legumes are major contributors to agricultural sustainability and human nutrition/health". He elaborated on the important role of African legume crops in sustainable agriculture and human nutrition and health. He pointed out that although these legume crops are widely grown and consumed in Africa, their potential and value are often overlooked. He called on the global agricultural community to strengthen research and utilization of African legume crops to promote sustainable development of African agriculture and improve the nutritional and health levels of local residents.

Keynote Speech 4: From Research to Commercialization – Gene Edited GABA Tomato Case Study from Japan
日本Sanatech Seed監管員Minako Sumiyoshi博士發表了題為《從研究到商業化——來自日本的基因編輯GABA番茄案例研究》的主題演講。她分享了日本在基因編輯技術方面的最新進展以及如何將這一技術應用于番茄的育種和商業化生產中。她詳細介紹了GABA番茄的育種過程、營養成分以及市場前景等方面的內容,并強調了基因編輯技術在推動農業科技創新和產業發展中的重要作用。
Dr. Minako Sumiyoshi, Regulatory Officer of Sanatech Seed Japan, presented her keynote speech "From Research to Commercialization: Gene Edited GABA Tomato Case Study from Japan ". She shared the latest developments in gene editing technology in Japan and its application in tomato breeding and commercial production. She provided a detailed introduction to the breeding process, nutritional components, and market prospects of GABA tomatoes, and emphasized the importance of gene editing technology in promoting agricultural technological innovation and industrial development.

在接下來的兩天里,大會還將呈現更豐富的內容,1月6日,與會者將圍繞傳統育種到采用人工智能、數字化、表型鑒定等先進育種技術,基因編輯、單細胞測序等生物技術以及種質資源收集、保護等主題進行分享。1月7日,不僅有農業經濟學、智慧農業等專題講座,還有未來農業展望、人工智能對未來農業影響等圓桌論壇等。此外,大會還安排了初創企業商業路演,為初創企業提供展示其創新成果和商業計劃的平臺,促進各方交流合作,實現互利共贏。
In the next two days, the conference will provide more comprehensive contents. On January 6th, the speakers will share their opinions on various topics. For example, from traditional breeding to the use of advanced breeding technologies including artificial intelligence, digitization, and phenotype identification, as well as biotechnology such as gene editing and single-cell sequencing, and collection and protection of germplasm resources. On January 7th, there will not only be special lectures on agricultural economics and smart agriculture, but also panel discussion on future agricultural prospects and the impact of artificial intelligence on future agriculture. In addition, the conference arranged a business roadshow for startups, providing a platform to showcase their innovative achievements and business plans, and promoting communication and cooperation among all parties, and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
